BB Guns
Woody's hold in stock a very large selection of "BB" firing guns. These days there are three types of ammunition 4.5 mm (.177 cal) steel balls that are usually either copper or brass plated, 6 mm steel balls, or 6 mm plastic air soft ammunition. They are great fun to shoot as many utilise Co2 as the power source and so can be made for use as semi-automatics i.e. they can be fired as fast as you can pull the trigger each time. The only examples that you can purchase legally that fire fully automatic are those that use soft air ammunition. It is legal to shoot these on your property or where you have permission to shoot. The pellet must never stray over your boundary so a target holder and pellet catcher mounted on a reasonable size board is a good idea.
We aim to keep in stock all the patterns listed on this dedicated page and our policy is to have multiples of each pattern "on the shelf". Occasionally we may be unable to supply a particular gun if the importers are out of stock so it is always a good idea to ring in advance of your journey.

"Mauser SR" sniper rifle
This is the new "Mauser SR" sniper rifle. The 12 grm Co2 capsule delivers 1.9 Joules of power which equates to approximately 135 meters per second muzzle velocity. The magazine holds 23 x 6mm soft air ammo whilst the maximum range is up to 70 metres. GSG-92 semi-auto

Soft Air firing guns
These guns are ideal for training the younger shooters in gun safety. They fire a 6mm plastic "BB" and we favour the use of the white coloured heavyweight ammunition as the quality is better. Woody's strongly recommend that the BB ammunition should never be fired more than once as if damaged in any way it can become jammed in the barrel. They must not be sold in a solid black colour if the power is under one joule. Most soft air guns fall into this category. Above this power they can be sold coloured black as they constitute an air weapon.
