Woody’s is a registered firearms dealer and can offer (usually to order) air rifles above the 12 ft lbs kinetic energy limit where a customer has the appropriate licence.

 

We aim to keep the items listed here in stock at all times subject to manufacturers being able to supply. We appreciate that it is unusual in this day and age for a shop to actually keep items in stock for immediate purchase but that is the way we like to do business.

 

Detailed Information On A Specific Air Weapon.

 

Occasionally a customer will express disappointment that our website does not show individual pictures of all the guns that we stock. We have tried to make our website easy for people to find out what Woody’s has to offer and unashamedly cater for those customers who want to visit a proper shop where they can see a huge array of guns and gear and actually talk to a member of the human race! (Not Chris first thing on a morning when he has been out shooting half the night before.)

A Change in the Law (February 2011)

 

As responsible sellers of airguns we feel we should mention the change in the law last February concerning the safe storage of air weapons. We quote from the Home office leaflet. "It is now an offence for a person in possession of an air weapon to fail to take reasonable precautions to prevent a person under the age of 18 from gaining unauthorised access to it. There have been several deaths as a result of children getting hold of air weapons. These tragedies might have been prevented had the air weapons been stored safely".

 

It is not essential that you install a steel security cabinet for those airguns that are below the 12ftlbs rifle limit or 6 ft lbs for a pistol. Woody's do stock a range of such cabinets and will of course be pleased to advise on fixing etc.

 

The Home Office leaflet informs. "In many cases it will be sufficient to store your air weapon in an existing, suitably robust lockable cupboard - keeping the keys separate and secure. Alternatively you could use a lock or locking device by which your air weapon can be attached to the fabric of a building, or to a fixed feature. Or you could use a security cord, lockable chain or similar device attached to a point of anchorage within the building".

Gun Bag

 

We used to sell a lot of the double gun bags made by Gun Gear however since they ceased manufacturing we have had these made by a quality English manufacturer. Big enough and strong enough to accomodate two full size outfits they feature a pocket on both sides, grab handles and a padded sling. The price is £79-99 - ten pounds less than the old Gun Gear!

We have a substantial stock of sound moderators in store at varying prices. As most of our customers are aware sound moderators can only be purchased on a face to face transaction. In order that you make the right purchase we are happy to try different patterns on your air weapon if you bring it with you.
